Indy is back! Slightly older and greyer, he is a hero nevertheless. Who knew archeology could be so stylish?

The new and final film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, has Indy racing against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Accompanied by his goddaughter, he soon finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA.

Looking just as cool as ever in his leather jacket and Poet hat, Indy is a style icon and one where it doesn’t matter if you roll around in the dust.

Hat – Herbert Johnson’s original indy hat was made distinctive by reducing the brim width only on the sides, creating a dimensional brim. Shaping the brim into an ovoid protected the eyes and neck whilst reducing the sides helped with the all-important camera angles. Enhanced by snapping the front brim down, the explorer look also had an altered original ribbon-band height from 50mm to 39mm to make the tall crown appear even more elevated.

Besides the original Indiana Jones hats for Mr. Ford, Herbert Johnson produced an additional 45 for the various stunt actors on set. The collaboration grew into a healthy ongoing partnership, with the company providing all hats for the following two sequels.

Now part of the Swaine luxury group, Herbert Johnson has provided the new film with his famous Poet hat.

Watch – Hamilton’s Boulton watch stars in the highly anticipated final instalment of Indiana Jones. Indy wears the Boulton for his return; Hamilton’s iconic timepiece from the 1940s.

Hamilton worked closely with Ben Wilkinson from the props team on the film, to ensure the watches seamlessly tied to the time period of the costumes designed by Joanna Johnston.

First introduced in the 1940s, the Hamilton Boulton is one of the most quintessential watches within the American Classic collection. Featuring a white dial with a small second subdial and iconic serif style numerals, this classic timepiece merges long-standing Hamilton heritage and cutting-edge Swiss watchmaking precision. A staple of Hamilton’s timekeeping legacy, the Boulton is deserving of its spotlight on the big screen.
