Not until HS2 arrives into Manchester will anybody truly understand what the Northern Powerhouse actually means. Manchester is doing pretty well without it. A hub of fashion, media and urban regeneration is making Manchester one of the most exciting cities in Europe to live and visit. Manchester was recently named one of the best places to visit in the UK in 2023 by Time Out.

The city’s most famous artist, Lowry, has his own museum in Manchester and his stick people have become known the world over. Looking mint, they are now appearing on this shirt by Blake Mill. Ironically, there is no dark and brooding mill behind them.
