Calecim Professional is a stem cell skin and haircare specialist developed by scientists to rapidly increase the growth of skin cells, dramatically improving elastin and density. The hero ingredient, PTT-6, is ethically derived from the growth factors, protein and cytokines of red deer’s umbilical cord lining stem cells. They have the patent on using stem cells taken from umbilical cords for beauty products.

TheChicGeek says, “I was given a box of the range to try and opted for the pink serum – it’s pink because it contains phenolsulfonphthalein (a pH indicator) which is reddish/dark pink – said to have the highest concentration of stem cell derived growth factors and proteins, and the Multi-Action Cream, which I thought I’d use as a standard moisturiser over the serum. I stopped using any other products.

Most of Calecim’s products are aimed at ‘recovery’ post-procedure, so I thought they would have some oomph. The smell isn’t unpleasant, it’s just you wouldn’t want it any stronger.

I used both products for 3 weeks, applying liberally in the morning after getting out of the shower. I didn’t notice any visible differences. 

I had really high hopes for this range, and, with the science behind it, I was sold. I wanted this is to do something. It spoke of ‘reverse ageing’ rather than simply anti-ageing, so, for the money, any money, this is a thumbs down.”
